This unique single-vineyard wine has been grown, vinified, bottled and hand-disgorged on site and is testament to the world class quality of the Pipers River region for sparkling wine production. The wine is the result of carefully hand- harvested fruit from the mature-aged chardonnay vines of Delamere Vineyard, reflecting the site’s distinctive soil and location. Maturation on lees for a minimum of four years is a critical part of Delamere Vineyards house style. The wine has rich, toasty and nutty aromas with hints of brioche, earthy notes. The palate shows classic cool climate structure; it is long and fine with a creamy mouth-feel that comes from 100% malo-lactic fermentation and careful maturation on lees.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS
The 2005 vintage was an exceptional season in Tasmania. Moderate temperatures assisted the fruit to develop slowly, retaining a high concentration of flavour compounds. It was a dry autumn allowing a long maturation of the fruit and flavours while retaining good natural acidity. The wines from this season represent a new high tide mark for Tasmanian wine quality.
