The 2011 season was notoriously challenging in Tasmania, with high rainfall and warm weather leading to high risk of disease. However, where fastidious vineyard management was applied wonderful wines have resulted due to low crop levels and humid condition.

The 2010 vintage was marked by a break in a 4-year drought period resulting in strong canopy growth. Thankfully, crop levels also represented a return for more reasonable levels after the very light 2009 vintage. Temperatures throughout the growing season average, with a hot spell in March, resulting in excellent depth of flavour, wonderful complexity and perfectly balanced acidity.
