OUR WINESOur wines are all made, including sparkling wine, on site from estate grown grapes. Chardonnay – A soft wine, savoury in flavour spectrum, with good length and palate texture and a fresh finish. Reserve Chardonnay - Barrel fermentation in two and three year old oak barrels from a clone of Chardonnay, which regularly produces wine of richer quality. Full malo-lactic fermentation is used giving a wine of great palate length and structure. Pinot Noir - A wine fermented in open top vats. A more straightforward pinot without being fruity, rather savoury in nature. Made as a serious rather than drink-now wine. Reserve Pinot Noir - Made in years when the best blocks reach a high level of ripeness, the wine is fermented in open vats and matured in French oak. The aim is a wine with low oak impact and good fruit definition. Sparkling Cuvée - A full flavoured sparkling made using short term barrel maturation and full malo-lactic fermentation. Liquored to be dry and soft. Sparkling Rosé NV – The outstanding feature of this wine is a frank pinot fruit character. This wine is more straightforward than the Cuvée and is very slightly sweet. |
