Vintage Conditions
Northern Tasmania had average winter rainfall, increasing to above average in late spring, setting the scene for excellent growth as the weather warmed. Here at Delamere we had a slightly cooler than average season leaving the wines with crisp acidity and a taut structure that will see them age very gracefully.
Winemaking
The fruit for this wine was carefully hand harvested from a mature vineyard located in the Tamar Valley. The fruit was airbag pressed into a stainless steel tank to preserve primary fruit character. The fullness and texture of this wine was achieved through a cool long fermentation utilising wild yeast.
Tasting Notes
Fresh green apples with a subtle, creamy mouth feel. A fine streak of minerality and a long and balanced citrus finish.
Food matches
Best enjoyed with fresh seafood such as oysters and crayfish or with Asian inspired salads.
